Prof. Mariano Sanz received his MD degree and PhD at Universidad Complutense at Madrid and specialized in Stomatology (Madrid) and Periodontology (Los Angeles). He is Professor of Periodontology, Dean of the Faculty of Odontology and Director of the Graduate Programme “Master in Periodontology” at Universidad Complutense at Madrid.
Prof. Sanz is the President of the European Council of Dental Deans.
He is past secretary general of the European Federation of periodontology (EFP), past president of the Spanish Society of Periodontology (SEPA) and Councilor and regional board manager of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR-CED).
Prof. Sanz is Associate editor of the scientific Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice and Journal of Clinical Periodontology. Furthermore, he is member of the editorial committee of the following scientific journals: Journal of Periodontal Research, Clinical Oral Implant Research, Journal of Dental Research, Oral Diseases, Clinical Oral Investigations and Journal de Parodontologie.
Prof. Sanz has published more than 150 scientific articles and book chapters in Periodontology, Implant Dentistry and Dental Education. His teaching has so far involved multiple courses and seminars in periodontology, implant dentistry and dental education. |
